These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Deshake app for iPhone and iPad and the deshake.app website, both provided by Routes Software SRL (“Routes Software”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using Deshake you agree to these Terms.
Deshake is distributed through the Apple App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app. Where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA differ, Apple's standard EULA governs the licence itself. You can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Deshake on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, rent, reverse-engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Deshake processes video that you already have. You keep all rights to your videos. We claim no ownership or licence over them — and because stabilization runs entirely on your device, we never receive them in the first place. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
You are responsible for the video you process: you must have the right to use it, and you must not use Deshake to process content unlawfully or in breach of anyone else's rights.
Deshake may offer paid features as one-time purchases or as an auto-renewing subscription. All payments are handled by Apple and charged to your Apple Account.
Deshake steadies the motion between frames. Two limits are inherent to that, not defects:
Results depend on the footage. We make no promise that any particular clip will reach any particular level of steadiness.
We may update, change or discontinue features, and we may stop supporting older versions of iOS. We will avoid removing something you paid for, and where a paid feature must change we will say so in the app's release notes.
Deshake is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Keep your originals. Deshake writes a new stabilized file and does not require you to delete the original, but no software is faultless — back up footage that matters to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Routes Software is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost footage, lost profits or lost opportunity, arising out of your use of Deshake. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including, if you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights.
Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Deshake or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, where Routes Software SRL is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions in your country of residence.
If we change these Terms we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Deshake after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
